Germany, WW II Very RARE genuine LORIENT SHIELD LORIENT SHIELD in metal, WW II, Germany. Detlev Niemann in "Price Guide. Orders and decorations Germany" 2004, page 580 put 1000 EURO for that nice historical badge. Condition is XF. Very rare and nice badge. About half of the German Soldiers in city of Lorient received the shield as a commemorative shield around Christmas. All shields were produced inside the city from various materials including the paper. The shield from metal is very RARE. Now Nordheide-Versand - the biggest internet-shop in Germany - is selling that item for 1.485 EURO (item #20273). |
